Luke Horacek
Luke Horacek, age 63, of Rapid City, South Dakota, and formerly of Yankton, South Dakota, died August 28, 2021, at his home in Rapid City.
A celebration of Luke’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Frying Pan Ranch in Kadoka, South Dakota. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.
Luke was born December 19, 1957 in Yankton, South Dakota to Frannie and Dee Horacek. He worked for Kurtz Construction Company in Rapid City. Luke was awarded a Master Craftsman Award from the Construction Industry Center. An award he was extremely proud to have received. Luke loved life to the fullest. He loved white water rafting, fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle through the hills.
It is not the length of life, but the depth of life.
Luke is survived by his siblings: Lynne (Doug) Nelson, Matt Horacek, Mary (Andy) Echtermeyer, Lisa Horacek, Margaret Stewart (Jay Walsh), and Jamie (Heidi) Horacek; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Luke was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

You were a great man,going to miss calling you and the great times we had all of us growing up in Yankton my sister Lorri and our other cousins rest in peace love you so much and miss you already!!!!
