Josh was incredibly nice and such a great guy. I moved to Omaha and into Broadmoor Hills two years ago and did not know anyone. Josh introduced himself and made me feel welcome and was so nice to include me in a lot of things. He was the best person I have met in years. Cared about everyone and was just an incredible person! I am devastated.

I didn’t know you long but I’m so happy that I met you when I did. You are the definition of the word friend. The face I sought in a crowd of people. You had a way of making a person feel belonged in a place where they didn’t know anyone. To say “you will be missed” is beyond an understatement. You will be missing from every dull conversation, every lackluster weekend, and every moment that deserves that little “something” that makes it unforgettable. One of a kind. That was exactly who you were. Genuinely good. Genuinely funny. And genuinely you. You have impacted more lives than anyone can imagine. And we will carry you with us where ever we go. Thank you.

Josh was the first real friend I made when I moved into Broadmoor Hills, and one of the people I felt closest to in Omaha. My boyfriend and I always noted that we never felt like a burden to him, as he was always welcoming and seemed genuinely excited to invite us to spend time with him. I will be forever grateful for the time I was able to spend with Josh, and he will always have a special place in my heart as one of the best friends I’ve ever had.

To Josh’s family and friends, I send my love and condolences, though I know that does not dull the pain at all. I hope that, with time, you will find the healing and comfort that you need to get through this impossible time.

To Josh, I love you always buddy. I’ll carry the memories and the love with me forever. Killian, Dalton, and I miss you dearly.

Friendships are one of the most important connections a person can ever come across. While I’ve known Josh for years, our friendship really grew the most in the last few months. He became one the most important people in my life because he always knew how to turn every situation into a positive situation, no matter what! Josh will be missed but I know he will be with us in spirit until we meet again.

I love you too, Josh…rest in paradise my dear friend.

I can’t imagine the grief that comes from losing a child, so my sincerest condolences to the parents of Josh. Josh loved his mama’s cooking and would very generously share her salsa. It was his favorite. My kids and I met Josh when we moved to Broadmoor Hills. He was my first friend there. We had countless taco Tuesdays, pool days, and cook outs. He was one of the kindest souls I have ever met. Josh would give the shirt off his back for anyone. The life of the party. Always an uplifting person. Your humble, sweet soul will be missed. To his family I pray for peace during this very difficult time.

I worked with Josh in Norfolk. He came on as an intern not long after I started and boy he brought the office dress level up. We had a great time playing sand volleyball and everything else. Words can’t express my shock to hear what happened. You have my condolences.

Josh was the life of the party! – He made Broadmoor Hills such a fun place to live and would make everyone feel included. When my Boyfriend John and I moved from Chicago to Omaha we meet Josh at the pool and it quickly became the most fun summer – large part due to Josh’s natural ability to welcome others. It’s not often you meet someone that so many people think highly of. When hanging out with Josh there was never a dull moment. Josh would often talk about his family and how much he loved visiting home for his mom’s cooking and how he enjoyed playing golf with his dad.

Kailey and I both got to know Josh while working at The Hill. Josh brought a smile to any person, any time, any day. We will both spend all summer thinking he will walk through that front door with another crazy outfit no one ever expected. Josh, thank you for making our lives better. You will be missed by so many, and you will never be forgotten. Love you buddy.

We were heartbroken to hear of Josh’s passing and thought immediately of
his beloved family. He spoke of you endlessly and with great pride.

He included us at The Hill, one of the first to say, “Thank you for hanging out with us.” We’re likely older than his parents yet he invited us to a Friendsgiving and later his birthday celebration. He made many people feel special and welcome.

We are deeply saddened and hold all of his family in the Light and in our prayers.

    Jim and Susie Johannes.

I had the honor of being Josh’s barber for the last few months. He was an inspiring young man who lived his life unapologetically. I would ask him every two weeks “what’s new?” And he would always respond “not a whole lot” and go on to explain his adventures from the previous two weeks. He loved his friends and always seemed to be meeting up with someone for supper or drinks after his appointments. It was truly a blessing to know him.

Heartbroken to hear this news. Praying for his team at GP, friends, and family. Josh was an awesome coworker who made sure to include me when I was a team of 1 at GP. He was an awesome person and will be greatly missed.
Prayers for his friends and family.

We were so sorry to hear about Josh. We loved Josh. He was so kind and funny and such a great friend to everyone. He always brought a smile to our faces when we saw him as he was always so glad to see everyone – he had such a positive atmosphere about him all the time. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wolfe family during this difficult time.

It’s still incredibly surreal that Josh is gone. I keep expecting him to walk past my desk at Green Plains, just to say hi or tell me about a great small business he had heard about or went to. He was such a kind person and it is absolutely tragic that he is no longer with us. GP hasn’t been the same since hearing of his passing. My heart goes out to his family and friends at this time. He is and will continue to be greatly missed.
